Loni Woodley, CPA, ABV, CFF
Loni is a co-founder of Woodley Hilderbrand & Sanders LLP. He started his career with McGladrey & Pullen LLP where he spent 10 years in the general service area serving clients in banking, construction, nonprofit, retail, manufacturing and distribution among others. Loni worked as a tax, audit and general business consultant to several clients. After 8 years he was promoted to Senior Manager. Loni was then hired by a client as their Chief Financial Officer. He spent the next 13 years as the CFO to 3 different companies and was able to successfully apply the training within public accounting to the internal operations of these companies. In his career he worked as the CFO and internal consultant for organizations advising them on several issues including strategic planning, turnaround, restructuring, operational efficiencies, complex refinancing issues and human resource changes. Loni worked with large public organizations and small entrepreneurial businesses. Specifically, he has successfully negotiated a $100 million refinancing package, led several projects to restructure organizations of over $50 million in revenue, lead efficiency teams that created over $10 million in operational savings and trained basic concepts of strategic thinking to several senior management teams. This included training and developing the “bottom line” inside perspective of managers and leaders of the company. Loni obtained his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa, is a Certified Public Accountant, and has the Accredited Business Valuation (“ABV”) and Certified Financial Forensics (“CFF”) designations with the American Institute of CPAs. Tom is managing partner for Frazier Spoon & Company, PLLC in Phoenix, AZ which is a part of the Atlas Business Navigators family of firms. Tom is a graduate of Eastern Washington University and began his accounting career in his hometown of Spoke, Washington with the firm of LeMaster & Daniels.
During his career, Tom has also served in controller, CFO and VP positions for companies in the private sector advising them on accounting, budgeting, treasury functions, and strategic planning issues. He re-entered public accounting and started his own firm in 1993 which was later merged with Arthur Spoon & Company, LTD. Tom specializes in taxation, accounting and review services, and business consulting. He has considerable experience with construction and real estate clients, as well as serving a wide variety of business clients.
Tom lives in Scottsdale, AZ and his very proud of his two children and four grandchildren. They are his pride and joy and he enjoys spending much of his free time with them. In addition, Tom enjoys officiating college football. He recently retired from the football field after 30 years as an on-field official, including the last 15 years as a referee for the Big Sky Conference. He currently is an instant replay official for the Big Sky. He also enjoys boating, sports, reading and traveling.
